Judges

Andrew Cole.

Oh hey, I didn’t see you there, Andrew Cole here from the Vancouver Facial Hair Club (that’s BC Canada 🇨🇦)

Remember when I was supposed to be here in 2020? Well let’s not talk about that. I’m super excited to return to Portland, this time as a judge!

I’ve been participating in Movember since 2010 growing moustaches in support of men’s health issues, and it’s great to extend the charitable support to the bearding community. (Insert charity here)

I look forward to meeting your Mayor Kyle MacLachlan and help Keep Portland Weird. See less

Hello to everyone John Abraham here from California’s Bay Area club Beards By The Bay. I was born and raised in Napa California. I’m a very proud Husband, Father and a lover of animals. I have always had some sort of facial hair since the age of 19 or 20, I started serious bearding in 2013 but have been actively competing since 2017. I have earned multiple trophies in Natural Partial/ Natural Goatee categories, including a Best in Show in 2019. I have had the pleasure of meeting many great peeps in my competition travels. I have also shared the stage with some of the worlds best Goatees. I am co-owner of a small batch hand made beard oil company with my wife, named Napa Valley Beard and Body. I truly love all the good that we can accomplish during Beard Competition’s, raising money for charity groups who give back to their communities, auctions that raise money to be donated as well along with the camaraderie and enjoying the chance to visit with friends of the bearding community along with meeting new people or meeting social media friends face to face for the first time. I’m beyond excited, honored and humbled to have been asked to come sit at the judges table for this club’s great competition and help raise money for Cascade Aids Project Camp KC. It’s a week long free camp for kids who’s lives are affected by HIV and Aids. Sounds like an amazing charity doing amazing things for those who can use some extra love, special treatment and Human kindness.

He won best in show in 2019 and is coming back to judge 2022! We’ve waited a long time to bring the excitement of Sin City back to Portland! Please give a warm welcome to your next RCBMC7 JUDGE, Vegas! “It’s your boy Vegas here (aka David). I was born and raised in So Cal and moved to Las Vegas in 2000 and lived there for 10 years before I moved to Sac town. I have always had some kind of facial hair but had never had a full beard. In December of 2013 I decided to stop shaving and the rest is history. At first I didn’t really care about competing but then saw all the awesome trophies clubs were making, ours being best obviously, and took it more serious. Since then I’ve have had a few 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes in multiple categories. The 4 biggest highlights of my bearding career were winning my first ever 1st place in business beard in Sacramento 2015, placing second in full beard freestyle at BBLA 2018 ( this was my first time trying this category and it was a huge honor losing to the freestyle king John Banks), getting member of the year this from MBSC in 2019 and then going to Portland later that year and winning freestyle and BIS (Banks being one of the judges)!!! I love the bearding community and how it has brought me together with people I would have never know. The camaraderie is amazing and the amount of money we all raise for charity is incredible. A big thank you to all the Portland crew for picking me as one of their judges! Love you all and can’t wait to get weird with everyone!!! -Vegas”

Who’s this? Our amazing 4th judge is well known in the community for her incredible crafting talent and going above and beyond to raise money for charity. We are so excited to have her judging RCBMC7, please give a warm welcome to Sarah! Sarah is the one and only nomadic member of the Battle Born Beards and Cohorts. Born and raised in Elko Nevada, Sarah has lived throughout Utah, Wyoming and Colorado, where she earned her license and certification in pet grooming. Owning and operating Hair of the Dog Grooming Salon for 18 years, Sarah has received many awards for her contributions to the community and grooming skills. June of 2018 Sarah decided to fulfill a lifelong dream and got her Barbering license, with Battle Born Barber. Now she’s a master groomer of both man and beast.Sarah started her Whiskerina journey in 2017 when she stumbled across The Salty Saints Octoberfest Facebook event. She traveled from Nevada and competed solo placing 3rd in her very first competition. Her passion to compete and be an active member in the bearding community solidified after meeting so many like herself; she finally felt like she was home. Competing in Utah, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington and Texas, Sarah has left her mark and taken many titles, trophies, and crowd favorite but best of all memories, even when she was mistaken for someone of bearding past 😂 dubbing her bearding name of Sarah Dallas. Sarah has been asked to judge not only the National Beard and Moustache Championship in 2020 but many other club competitions throughout the years. You’ll find Sarah hiking through the mountains with her loyal fur companion Francesca! Exploring ghost towns, hot springs, star gazing and hammock hangs. She loves lifting everything heavy and training in the sport of Strongman. With her eccentric personality you’ll not only see Sarah but hear her contagious laugh through any crowd.

Your final judge for #rcbmc7 is a good friend to the Portland Beardsmen and, let’s be honest, one of the best looking! Please give a warm welcome to the beautiful and talented Diana Fire! Diana Fire is Portland’s own Daddy Bear Drag Queen and finalist from season 2 of Camp Wannakiki on YouTube and OutTV. Diana’s goatee first made its appearance in 6th grade where her peers were very kind and understanding, and definitely didn’t call her “goat boy” for the rest of middle school. Her beard has been here to stay ever since, becoming a source of pride, and a part of her drag you just can’t miss.Diana has been the MC for Whiskers at the Whiskey in Salem twice, but this is her first time at the judges’ table. While she has no qualifications aside from “good vibes” she’s very excited to combine her love for facial hair, competitions, and judging others in the name of charity.
