May 7th – Calapooia competition in Albany, OR – Keving, Clinton and Lauren went. Not sure who placed?
May 20th – Umatilla Beard Competition – Paul judged. 12 people competed. They raised 1,200 for their charity with only 4 categories.
Upcoming:
June 18th – Shannon Morgan’s celebration of life. Please RSVP on the event page if you plan on going so the venue can plan for staffing.
June 25th, 2022 – Great American Beard and Mustache Championships, Salt Lake City, Utah. Pookie judging.
RCBMC 7 – We need more sponsors for the competition! We need raffle items as well as money. The sponsorship levels are posted on the business page but use your discretion on this! We need jobs filled at the competition. We need 3 people for registration, someone in the merch booth, people to sell raffle tickets, people to hold signs to direct competitors from Silver Dollar to Start Theater, etc. We will post a sign up sheet for jobs on the business page. Sarah and Greg are unable to emcee this year so we got Daria (Portland legend) and Shawn Glander! Meet and greet and hangover brunch will be at Greeley. They promised to have a full staff for hangover brunch!
We are behind on things for the competition. We still need a photographer, and we still need more people to volunteer to help. This does NOT mean you cannot compete. We will have people switch off to cover for people to compete and/or take breaks. We will also be having a few more meet ups at Madeline’s house to get comp stuff done.
Orrin – might have a line on wood for trophies since we are still trying to get that taken care of. As well. Deadline for logos for t-shirts is just a couple weeks away so if you get a sponsor, get their logo, too!
Disc golf – Paul will have disc golf the morning of the competition. $5 buy in to play. 50% of the money will go to the charity and 50% will be for the ace pot.
Darcelle night? We can have a club night at Darcelle’s and see if Poison Waters will talk about the comp.

RCBMC 7 – Star theater asked us to move from July 30th for another show. We agreed to August 6th not knowing that Spokane had a competition the same day. So, we are now waiting to hear back from Start again about changing the date either back to the 30th, or, a different date. THIS WILL BE THE LAST DATE CHANGE, PROMISE.
This will be our last Zoom only meeting. Starting next month we will move to a hybrid style meeting. See you next month!

Still looking for a florist at this time. We have not heard back from any that we have contacted. If we don’t have a florist by the end of this month we cannot do BNR. Flowers in the Ally
RCBMC 7 is July 30th at the Star Theater! We have a lot of different ideas for the space. Jensen has already gotten our two presenting sponsors. We have lowered the category sponsor to $50. Please look for sponsors.! Money or products for raffle items and/or gift bags. We will make a list of who we have already contacted and post it on the business page, and people can add to it as needed. Madeline has been in touch with someone who does printing and might be willing to get the hook up on t-shirts and/or banners.

January 22nd You Matter competition La Grange, Texas.
Beards by the Bay – January 29th, it’s a classic! Clinton judged. They did better than they were expecting on turnout. Competition was in a little bar and Clinton didn’t pay for drinks while he was there. There were some hiccups but it was overall ok. Not sure how much money was raised at this time.

Mike Strahl might have found us a florist for Mother’s day. Madeline sent them an email today to see if they are interested in still working with us. We still need Sponsors!

As of right now Star Theater is requiring vaccines or a negative test to enter, but due to the mask mandates changing this might change. We will update everyone as soon as we know.

Family from camp KC adopted and many presents and food was gifted to them. Thank you Paul and Pixie for donating the food! They were very grateful and sent us a Christmas card.
